Elementary School

I would like to personally welcome everyone to Mount Ayr Elementary School. As the elementary principal in my 12th year, I look forward to collaborating with staff, students, and parents as we support our students through their elementary years.

    Mount Ayr Elementary School has approximately 285 students in Pre-K through 5th grade. Our school offers a full-day Preschool program. Students must turn four years old by September 15th to attend our preschool. Mount Ayr Elementary currently has three sections of Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 3rd grade. We currently have two sections of 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th grades. 

    Mount Ayr Elementary School is proud to offer many programs to our students, which include Title I Reading, a Talented and Gifted program, physical education, music, art, and library skills.  Integration of technology into each classroom is a high priority at Mount Ayr Community Schools.  Our students are able to utilize technology on a daily basis. At Mount Ayr Elementary School, students have access to laptops, iPads, and Smartboards in every classroom. 

    Mount Ayr Elementary School is very fortunate to have a tremendous staff, as well as an outstanding facility.
